Every Manfred licensing student takes a proctored school final exam before moving on to the New York State exam. Request approval, choose an online or in-person proctor, and you're on your way.
BEFORE YOU START
Exam Requirements
New York requires Manfred licensing students to pass a school-administered proctored exam at an authorized location within one year of the course start date. You must complete all course content first. Once you pass, Manfred issues your Completion Certificate and reports your completion to the New York Department of State.

Questions About Your School Final Exam
Q: Is the school final exam the same as the state exam?
A: No. You must pass both. The school final exam comes first, then you register for the New York State exam through eAccessNY.
Q: When can I take my school final exam?
A: After you complete all course content and receive your approval code. You must pass within one year of your course start date.
Q: Should I take the exam online or in person?
A: Online is our most popular option. It's $25, generally held Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm, and results usually arrive the same evening. Broker and remedial exams must be taken online.
Q: What if I don't pass?
A: You can retake the school exam during your enrollment period. Each retake is a new sitting with a proctor, and that location's proctor fee applies.
Q: How long until I get my results?
A: Online proctored exam results generally arrive the same evening. In-person locations take five to ten business days.
